Win XP Shutdown problem

I have the same problem with xp home I dont have an Asus mobo its some wide spread thing im not sure how to fix it though. To shut mine off I just push the power button on the case and it starts to shut down. Its the only way I know how to shut it down it dosent just kill it, it goes through the...

Win Xp HOme/ Win Xp Pro

Home runs much better on my computer it seems to use less ram than pro did, and dosent lag as bad. Home is also cheaper.

CD or DVD drive

DVD drives are good if you want to watch movies on your computer, not many software titles comes on dvd it never seemed to catch on. I would get a decoder card, much better than useing software. I have the creative encore 12x its not to loud and its got a dolby output and svideo.

Samsung memory

I have 512mb of PC-800 Samsung RDRAM it works great, have'nt had any problems. I think they are one of the only companys makeing RDRAM :(.

Rio: Volt...

I have the RioVolt SP250, and I love it, on the average i can get 200+ songs onto one cd :). I put it on shuffle and it lasts me the whole day, when u get tired of the cd its got a built in radio. I would keep it, cds are alot better than compact flash they can hold way more songs and its not...

WinXP: Lite-On CDRW disappears every time I restart?

XP is very picky about the drivers, make sure you use signed drivers and the lastest version of your burning software. I had a problem when I did the upgrade from ME to XP with my cd burner I had to do a clean install of XP for it to work.

I would go with whatever you can afford, your best deal will probabley come from AMD I wish I bought an AMD instead of Intel :( and try www.pricewatch.com losts of venders. :)

Are KDS monitors any good?
