The appliances are old old. They're probably 30+ years old. We dont really set the AC super cold either, about 78 or if I'm feeling hot, 75.

These apartments are kinda old so not very well insulated, and the appliances are old too. I also live in Texas. Running my server, my gaming rig, the AC, the fridge, it adds up.

I'm definitely looking into it. My power bill is up to around $250/mo and the rate is going from .12c/kWh to .18c/kWh when i renew next month. I was thinking two V2 2011 CPUs would be a cheap stop gap, they're like $20ea and I get 4c/8t more with less power usage and heat output.

Question Old workstation motherboard (Asus Z9PA-D8) problems

So, I know this is an old board, and computer stuff develops issues as things age. But, the onboard video isn't working and the board won't boot with all 8 RAM slots full, even with ECC DDR3. Could it simply be the pins in one of the sockets being slight bent causing the issue?

Question Is this the lowest SSD prices will ever go?

Man I'm glad my machines that can are all running NVME drives. A 1tb, two 512gb, and a 256gb. The other two machines are still on conventional SATA SSDs due to not having NVME M.2 slots because of age.

Why can't I play games on battery?

The electrical theory of it is beyond me. I'm not an electrician. You'd have to look into the specs of the battery bank you have in mind and do some math. The only battery bank I found on amazon with a 120v outlet has an output rating of 148Wh, which means it'll run for, I dunno, 40-ish minutes...

Why can't I play games on battery?

Since you have an RTX, I'm going to guess that's a 90w chip, and I'll assume you have a 45w CPU. That's roughly 135w just for the CPU/GPU alone. Your battery is probably a 75wHr battery which means it can supply 70 watts of power for one hour. That kind of draw can damage the battery, however...
