ie6 not accessing web pages, but firefox can!

I am perplexed - my pc is connected to the net and i can access web pages using firefox fine. however, ie comes up empty with 'page cannot be displayed' errors. i've disabled firewall software but that doesn't help... any thoughts? i need ie to work so that yahoo music can connect, since...

Corrupt windows file, and no repair option? *FIXED*

summary - i have an old hard drive (on my mom's comp, must be 3-4 years old, maxtor) that is not accessible via my computer. when trying to explore i get the error along the lines of "corrupt and/or unreadable" and most recently 'drive is not formatted' It's also not visible via windows disk...

best graphics options in 15.4" laptops

Thanks for the input guys. I had been looking at the toshiba a1xx series but didn't see those video cards in the customization options. are you talking about preconfigured systems? the p1xx series are 17" notebooks, so I think they would be a little too big for what i want. thanks again.

Hobby Lobby 50% off instore all model rockets

technically I don't think the coupon is valid for accessories (launch pads, parachutes, motors, etc), but YMMV as I've had some cashiers just give me the 50% on everything, while others stick to the coupon wording which says 'rocket kits'. never hurts to try though.
