Standard ATX PSU with IBM Thinkcenter E31

So IBM decided to use a 14pin connector on these things, it's pretty common to get or make an adapter these days, and I did pick one up. Trouble is, it won't work consistently with my Seasonic X850. It seems to be OK under load, but if you leave it sit for a length of time between ten minutes...

Miners messing with the supply chain again?

Really kind of a drag. I'd have been happy to give AMD some money but nobody had anything I was looking for in stock(or it was comically priced). And if I had been able to find one, I likely would have bought a freesync monitor to go with it, but noooooooo lol... So another company missed...

What he meant was that it was parked in a garage, not sat in a garage unused. That's what Jaguars, Maseratis and Land Rovers do. :)

Congrats man. I thought the TDI was pretty strong too, and it is compared to its forefathers, but after a few weeks it felt slow lol. Everything is relative though. Luckily, unlike a lot of the alternatives, one can pretty effectively increase it's power output without hurting fuel mileage...

Yep, glad I'm not the only one. I haven't had any sort of viri or whatever since I was running NT4(and NT didn't care lol).

If defender is posing performance problems one really should upgrade something. It's easily the least intrusive and annoying software of its type I've ever seen. I can't remember the last time I even opened it.

I'm kinda getting that way too, old age I guess. I remember not thinking I'd like a Chromebook since it was so locked down, but I found that it just get's out of the way of the content I'm interacting with or the work I'm trying to do and just.. works. I learned with Linux, something mature...

I was doing the dual boot thing for gaming with Linux a couple years ago, it really worked out well all in all. I can see myself heading that way again. I miss my big-boy OS. :)

Yep, sure you'd be fine with total control, most of us would. We're the minority. Sucks being penalized for others shortcomings don't it. Teach em a lesson, go use Linux. Better yet, give em twenty bucks for it out of spite.

Like it or not this removing of options to deny updates or turn off defender is because of people that ought not to be doing such. I'm pretty sure the majority fall in that category, and it's a consumer OS after all. I don't like it anymore than anyone else, but I understand it. There are...
