It will not install? Windows 2000 Pro question: If I boot up with a 98 boot disk, and type in "winnt /s:D:" at the d:\ prompt, it should install correct? well, all it is saying to me is it "Can not find a place for a swap file" Any clue on how I can get it to install...

Win2k advice needed

Hey vfrjim, when I read your post I had to laugh because I got so pissed off today trying to figure out how to make a simple bootdisk that I went out and bought a beginners book about W2K and how to do things. Thanks and Thanks for everyones input and help.

OK 1 problem down 1 to go: I figured out the problem with the shutdown. My CDRW installs Adaptec DirectCD, which is not W2K compliant until you download the patch from Roxio now it is OK. As for the other: My HDD is a Maxtor Diamondmax plus 5120 (UDMA/ATA/66 7200rpm), should I use the driver...

It turns out that my Abit KA7 likes the SC in PCI slot 3, since moving it there I have not had any problems. Thanks for all of the ideas and help.
