Unless he's re-cloning the main install on a regular basis I don't see how he's backing up anything. If you boot into one OS and then install a program, you have to install it in one place. Once he started using either install they wouldn't really be clones of each other any more.
Either...
I've always installed Windows on a single partition taking up an entire drive (which also contains my applications and My Documents), so if I want to reinstall/reformat, I have to back everything up, reinstall Windows, restore all my documents, resinstall all of my software, etc.
I'm trying...
After upgrading to Firefox 1.5 RC2 it seems to happen a lot less frequently. I'm thinking it was a combination of Firefox or IE crashing and the computer being unstable for some other unknown reason
Since it is still happening, I'd like to figure out what the problem is. Now I'm leaning...
Well, it did happen a lot on the page where you rearrange your "Top 8" friends. It's a new feature on the site and seems to be some kind of "AJAX" thing thhat lets you drag-and-drop people in your friends list.
But I am positive that it's happened in other places too. Main profile pages...

My computer will randomly restart itself and then on startup I get the error "The system has recovered from a serious error".
The strange thing (to me at least) is that, without fail, it always happens when I'm on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com). I've tried loading up 10 different websites...
For the record, I've used Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 on an AMD system (Athlon 64 3200+) and it runs great. Every feature that I've tried works flawlessly. I'm not sure what all the arguing is about, but Premiere will run fine if you decide to go with that. It may run a little *faster* on a...
I keep getting the following error message:
"Common Client User Session has encountered a problem and needs to close."
After it closes, I can't send or receive email until I restart the machine. I'm assuming this has something to do with NAV scanning ingoing and outgoing emails.
Has anyone...
I use a different router and FTP server (Linksys router and Serv-U Pro FTP) but I think this should apply to your situation as well. Your router should have a "Port Forwarding" feature that you need to configure to forward all traffic on ports 20/21 to the computer that is running the server...

I know Corey Taylor (the singer from Slipknot) who was in the movie "Rollerball" which was directed by John McTiernan (I'm assuming they "know" each other on some level after working on the same movie), who also directed Predator, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I actually just added another 512MB (for a total of 1GB) and got a slightly lower score in 3DMark2001. With only 512MB I got a 19675 and after adding the other 512MB I got a 19604 or something. I was hoping to break 20000 with the extra RAM but I guess not. Maybe I'm doing something wrong...
There should be a tiny switch at the end of a wire somewhere inside the case that will do this. It looks like a little black square connector but if you look closely its actually a switch.
Do you know where I can find more info about this? I have two 120mm fans connected to the Fan Only connectors on an Antec 430w PSU and I'm trying to figure out why they never seem to speed up. I guess the temp isn't getting high enough, but I'd like to at least know what going on with it.
