Best free weight exercises? (Feedback on my routine?)

There's really no reason you can't do squats now so long as you have a power rack. The rack is your spotter. You just start with the bar alone and work from there. I highly recommend stronglifts.com. Start with their 5x5 program. 3 days a week 3 different lifts per day. Takes less than 30...

I got this extrenal WD 1.5gb yesterday for $59.99. It rang up for $79.99 but the price on the sticker was $59.99. They gave it to me at that price when I showed them the "advertised price" of $59.99. Even in the pre-price hike days that was a good price...

Quality elliptical machine around $400?

I have not found anything worthwhile in the $400 range. $800+ you can find quite a bit. The livestrong models start at $800 and I quite like them. We have life fitness gym quality ellipticals at work and the livestrong models compare well to them. I don't think anything under $1500 is junk...

Canon T2i: Question on Night Shots w/o flash + carrying bag.

No Canon owner should be without the $100 50mm 1.8 prime. It's cheap, it's fast, and has decent build quality. If you can affored it the 1.4 suggested above is a better choice but also about 4 times the price. Either will significantly help with your indoor bar shots. Just make sure to shoot...

Buying a dSLR for a wide range of photography (K-7, D90, 7D, other?)

Those were the two I was looking at. The D90 is $1-200 more (cheapest I've seen them is $1050 for the D90 and $810 for the T2i). I ended up with the T2i in part due to the video capabilities of the T2i and the better high ISO performance. If the price was exactly the same for both I may have...

VMWare Fusion 3 vs Parallels 5

My experience has been the same as happycamperjacks. Well, with vmware. I stopped using parallels a while ago. Might be time to look at it again since I only run my bootcamp install and don't do vms.

why would someone buy this for $500

Dell Mini 10 touchpad

Tom, Did you make any adjustments to the touchpad? I have never seen anyone say it works great. In fact, I've never read a single positive comment on it.

Dell Mini 10 touchpad

My understanding is that the mini 10 and mini 10v have different touchpads with the Mini 10's being decent. The touchpad on my mini 10v has taken some adjustment and tweaking. Overall, I do not like it. It is likely I will sell it and get a different netbook (or possibly an older 12" laptop...

Netbook vs Archos

I'm not sure I'd need an external hard drive but I do have a 250gb 2.5" external drive that is pretty much empty right now. Most netbooks have a 160gb or better hard drive and I could upgrade the drive if necessary. I think I'd rather upgrade the drive than carry an external one around...

Netbook vs Archos

The dvd drive is what I'm trying to get away from. The movies we watch in the car are kids movies and picking out which to bring and which to leave is a pain. Not to mention the possibility of getting them stolen, scratched, or lost. I've already got most of our kid movies in digital format...
