    I don't think it matches the 8700K. Here are the scores for my i7-8700 under Windows, macOS and Linux. Results seem to vary quite a bit between different Geekbench versions.

    Want to sell my Ryzen 1700 and get a 8700k. Is it stupid or greedy?

    3.7 GHz @ 1.25V isn't that bad. My 1600 can only hit 3.7 GHz at 1.35V.

    This article. They've run SPEC2006 suite on the R7 1800X, i7 6900K, i7 7700K and A12-9800 using MSVC and ICC2017 compilers with SSE, AVX and AVX2 flags. AVX2 results were only marginally better.
