Maybe you checked power plans in windows, but did you check any Dell features (Dell Power Manager) or maybe some setting in BIOS. R

Actually..... if you are trying to play AAA games on a laptop, you are going to go higher than 65 degrees. Your approach was not really a fix, at least not for big games. If you drop your clock you will lose performance. You may want to try undervolting and using throttlestop. And CPUs can...

Upcoming new Dell XPS 13

Hi.. the review I saw was in Digitaltrends and was dated mid November. It is the new white model. To be honest, I have not seen later 2019 announcements from either HP or Dell... So since these models are just barely available (late 2018), anything else may just be rumor... Regards, R

Hi, I just read a review of the new Dell 13” and the webcam is still down near the keyboard... I just picked up the HP x360 Spectre with whiskey lake and I really like it. I am done with dual core laptops for sure. R

Hello All, I have Bluetooth on my motherboard... What do you guys do with yours? I sync'd it up to my Android phone, and I transferred one music file but it was kind of slow (it is only 2.1 format)... so I think when moving over whole albums to the phone I would prefer to use a USB...

RAM Speed Too Slow

Where are you reading this in CPU-Z? If you go to the memory tab, is it reading 800MHz? You should probably consider downloading AIDA64. On the "motherboard" section, it will give you the comfort that you are looking for. R

You always have to change this...the timing should be ok. Either set the XMP profile for the RAM to 1600, or set it manually AND you may need to change the DRAM voltage to the tested voltage (usually on the RAM package - or you can find it on the vendor website). For my Corsair XMS it was...
