Will Gainward be a US player again?

Bought one Gainward card ever, a ti4200 that went to artifacting after a few months, about 30 days after CompUSA started to shutter their doors. Might be an exception but Gainward will never get my money again.

barcode readers + php/mysql

There is a barcode font that you can download for Excel and use to actually have barcoded values print on paper. Depending on how good of a scanner you pick up, you may just have to increase the font size for your scanner to read the barcode. I do a ton of barcode work using BarTender software...

Best bang for buck AGP

How far from monitor for 1920x1200?

I spent the better part of yesterday looking at 24's up close and it seemed like a close call, which is why I was asking here. I'd prefer to just take my PC in, hook it up to each monitor and play for an hour or so. The salesmen want to stop me from rolling in with my cooler and chair though...

How far from monitor for 1920x1200?

For those of you who are gaming at 1920x1200, how far are you from your monitor? Besides my setup below, I've brought my work monitor home this weekend (Samsung 22" 2220wm) to play some games on. I've really got no issues with either monitor (maybe I don't know what I'm missing) but...

So what's the current shooter game that people are playing/anticipating

I typically can't stand shelling out $50 for a brand new release, but I'd probably give twice that to have the new Wolfenstein game get released tomorrow......dynamite planted!

Recommend Games for my Non-Gaming Laptop

I second the Luxor recommendation....or Zuma for that matter, about the same game. Got every iteration of both for my wife to play so she'd leave me and the kids alone to play our games. In the end, the whole family got addicted to them though.

ASRock Dual 939 Sata won't post

After two years of faithful service, pc locked up last night and would not respond to keyboard or mouse. After a hard shut down, today it won't even post. I've checked all the connections, swapped around power connections to the HDD, put in a back up HDD, etc and can't get the friendly post...

Can I still buy a new cpu for my A7N8X Deluxe mobo?

Weird how outdated components hold their price or get more expensive even. They know they've got you by the short and hairies if you need this stuff. I sent you a PM about a cpu I have that may work for you.

help with first build, me = noob

Can't bear to think of using that nice vid card on only a 17" screen. Jump on this right now and it's $5 cheaper, 19", free shipping, still 8ms. 1 day sale, though.

L90D+ Owners

You do have to go through the menu options on the monitor to get to the VGA/DVI selection but that was about the only thing I had to do different from a normal crt hookup. Nothing to it.

X800XL for $250 or X850XT for $350?

By 40% more performance, I was speaking of the benchies from the Anand article on BF2. They typically showed the X850XT running at 130-140% of the marks of the X800XL. Anyway, I went to check out what was on the shelf at CompUSSR and they did have the X800XL with a shelf tag at $250 so I...
