A kind of unrelated question:
I have a Toyota with 150K miles. I've heard lots of ads about high-mileage oils (example Valvoline MaxLife). Does anyone know if these oils are beneficial, or just a marketing gimmick?
Yeah, he is right. The cheapest solution is to get a splitter and run a long coaxial cable to the other side of the room via the baseboards.
But yes, a wireless router would also work. I recently got a Netgear MR814 that works very well. You'll also need a wireless adapter for your PC.
It was $30 at Natural Wonders.
The 33W machine consists of a P3-733 running on an old Abit BX6-2 motherboard, Savage 4Pro graphics, a DSL card, a network card, a phoneline networking card, a AC97 sound card, and a 15Gb hard drive. The only fan in that machine is the power supply fan. I am...
I got this device from the "Natural Wonders" store, and it works very well.
My Internet router PC, which I would like to be as energy-efficient as possible, currently uses 33 watts. That is pretty much as low as I can get it. I haven't measured by Athlon XP system yet. I bet it uses a lot...
I have a Pentium 3-733 system that runs with just the power supply fan. The CPU has a giant heatsink on it (stock from Intel) with no fan. I'll bet if you coupled that with one of the Antec 420 quiet power supplies, it would be almost completely silent.

You need to make sure your memory settings in the BIOS are set to the most conservative settings possible. Example, set the timing to 2.5T or 3T if possible. Make sure your memory bus is set to 266MHz. Set memory timing to "Slow".
Let me tell you, there are a TON of Kings fans in Portland, OR. First of all because they have a serious shot at kicking the Lakers butts. Second, because our team is a complete embarrassment since our owner canned Rick Adelman and then Geoff Petrie, who have made the Kings a contender.
Go Kings!
Do a half-assed job. It's the American way!
Just kidding. Line up another job while you are still working, then make the move. Like someone above said, make sure you let the boss' boss know that your boss screwed you over.
Thanks for the deal.
I got an AOpen 2440, and it works fine for me. The digital audio out works fine (it didn't on my old Ricoh 8X4X24). Nice and quiet too.
Always put a note such as "I am not responsible for installation problems. I only guarantee that this item was tested and working when it left my possession. No warranty."
I always put that in my computer stuff auctions, and the bids don't seem to suffer because of it.
