Why does Suse not distribute ISOs? How long does it take to do a network install (i know it depends on network speed, etc) but wouldnt it take a really long time (several hours)?

Print handouts in pdf!?!

I do not think that there is an option for this built into Acrobat itself, although many printer drivers offer this option. Make sure you have the latest printer driver installed, and then select print in Acrobat and click on properties and look in there. You could alwasy print to a file...

IBM 770 Laptop Screen Flickers in and out

Sounds like a dying backlight. I have had a 770 and not had these problems (although it did have a dead serial port).

I dont know why the OS needs to know which drive (master or slave) it is on. Worst case, you might just have to move the boot loarder to the master.

Any extreme newbie Linux tutorials?

GAIM should have just come with your distro. No need to download it. Get to a terminal window (if you dont know what this is, look through the sprograms menu for it) and type gaim <enter>. All linux programs can be started from the command line. This is the preferred method.
