VOIP multiple lines problem

If the calls are over SIP this screams lack of bandwidth. It may be the link is also used for data and some one is uploading or downloading when this happens. Could be router issue as well. For small routers turn off the SIP ALG. Rob.

Recomendations for new motherboard fot ESXi

I did read the article on this. It looks good but there is no indication about VT D or ESXi support and they are the most important features. The new machine will be used to simulate a production machine running ESXi. Thanks Rob.

Recommend a dual WAN wireless router

There are a few things to be aware on RV042. A firmware release late last year broke SIP calls. This is on the support pages. A fix was done that added other functionality. I was supposed to test this but have been unable as am ill at momemt. Some one else has probably done testing...

CAT 5 maximum theoretical transfer rate under Windows 7 Ultimate x64

While old PCs make good routers with something like pfsense they also use loads of power, and over a year this adds up. I'd have to disagree on torrents. There great for rapid distribution of large files. Some Linux builds have long been using torrents as a means of distribution. Rob

why dont most consumer routers have an option to block bitorrent
