no impact marks, so i'm thinking it's either 2, 3, or 4. i've yet to experience extreme temp change in southern cali. thanks for your help!

can of these situations cause a windshield to crack?

I woke up yesterday morning and noticed a 3 inch crack on the front windshield of my car. The crack is on the lower left corner (on the driver's side). The crack seemed to have started from the edge of the windshield and by time, finally became visible. It doesn't have the dents a rock/pebble...
