Would it be any quieter if I were to... (silent screw3d's PC project)

please don't waste that nice TV by using a composite connection. You should notice a definite difference PRIMARILY in color separation and accuracy with the component cables. Conventional wisdom on the HT boards is that you will prob not notice a difference in PQ moving from a non...

I have not seen this done recently, and was just wondering if anyone here has a link comparing, say a Dell 4600 Pentium 4, with a simiarly configured custom built pc with brand name parts (asus mobo, brand memory, etc). These things are SOOOOO cheap right now, I am for the first time...

What is a good 56k hardware modem?

Diamond Supra Express External ROCKS...and looks cool to boot mwave.com has it for around $68 - I would be wary of being able to buy a TRULY hardware modem for less than $60-70 - some claim to be hardware, but are not in actuality.

NVIDIA stability on VIA chipsets

I am using the same mb as you, plus a geforce2 mx - no stability probs with latest drivers...but I had HUGE stability probs with my SB Live...(still am) Even after following all the little tricks (like putting it in a certain PCI slot, et al) In my opinion, the VIA chipset found on these mb's...

UDMA 100 controller not seeing drive (Asus A7V133)
