Why wouldn't you install the larger stick of RAM? You can't squeeze life out of that PC, buy a new $400 Dell and it'll be a better system. AGP = dead S754 = dead DDR1 = dead

No, no. Your CPU is more than enough. If you were to overspend in an area I'd have expected it in that and not the HD. Ditch the Raptor for a high performing large capacity drive like the WD 1TB Caviar Black instead.
