If you're just gaming, get a faster dual core processor, you'll get better performance than the quad core (few games can handle the dual cores, I don't think any are optimized for 4 cores). Check out AT's review of the Q6600 for more info.
On the FW800/400 bus statement, I use both at the same time on a daily basis without any issues. Haven't had a problem with the screen hinge but have noticed it gets fairly hot during constant (not heavy) use.
Nice thing about comparing it to the Dell is that the iMac and the Dell 9400 weigh about the same.... :) Dell ribbing aside I think people miss the point that these are not entry level systems.
You can buy a Mac Mini if you want entry level- also, I priced out a Gateway Intel Duo machine...
I had a Sonata and had the ASUS dual xeon board in there- it was a thing of beauty.....sold it. :D
I installed the second 120mm fan as well and it was nice. If I would change anything, it would be the ANTEC name stamped out in holes on the side of the case.... nice little dust shelves is...
I've got a G5 and would like to get a good set of speakers for it- ideally with the optical input. I don't have room for 5 or 6 speakers but would like to get a pair of nice satellites and a sub. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I know and it stinks. You lose a disk and you're screwed. If anyone can pull and zip the install files I would appreciate it very much. Thanks!
