It takes about 30 secs I am guessing...which seems slow to me. I do not have but two or three programs that load at boot. Windows boots quick, its the screen where it gives the commands to enter the raid set-up where it seems to lag. It may just be normal, I am just curious is all.
My new system seems to boot slow. Slower than my xp2500. Any suggestions? It benchmarks fine on 3dmark03 and 05 (8600 and 3500 respectively at stock settings). Also, I am guessing that b4 I try to oc anything I need to lock my pci to 33.33? At any rate...I love the board. Was a little hesitant...
Heat is the biggest killer...your system is good now...you want to keep it nelow 60c with a fill load...not being famliar with your motherboard, see if you can change DRAM settings from auto to high performance. If not, leave them for now...A safe starting point would be 166fsb with a multiplier...
set your bios to 133fsb and the chip should read as a 2100xp when yyou reboot....i am not familiar w/ your mobo but mine has a selection for high performance settings...if you really want to tweak youp system you have to unlock your chip first...otherwise you can probably only run at a fsb160...
ok...up the juice in increments up to 1.8 and either got the blue screen of death or it would not boot into windaows at all...the only settings I have not messed with are the memoery timings. I can change the T-RAS, T-RCD, T-RP and CAS Latency manualy in the bios. What should they be set at? If...

Thanks for everyones help...This is what I ended up with...195FSBx11 solid and stable....temp runs at about 42c with a load.....This chip rocks. Thanks again!!!!
