Sad to see the site going away.
I know they say it will stay open, but I assume that over time traffic will shrink and decisions will be made about spending the money to keep it open at all.
I tend to keep my drivers a bit behind anyway unless I see the need to update in the games I play so I should be ok for now.
I guess my only option is to manually see if I can delete the telemetry after drivers are installed.
I will admit this might get me to start looking at radeon cards...
I deleted the update in my Geforce experience which stops the update to 3.0 for now. Guessing I am going to uninstall the program since I do not really want to have yet another thing I need to log into just to get driver updates.
In the end my GTX 970 purchase worked out real well.
I got lucky and got $60 plus tax back from Amazon because of the free game promotion that happened right after I bought my card.
Now I guess I am getting $30 more back.
I think $239 effective cost for my GTX 970 was money well spent...
My gut feeling is people will select the higher priced option in a poll, but when they actually buy a product will look at reviews and many of them will buy the best value which could likely end up being the 1070.
Will they rename existing GPUs or just drop prices on the 9 series skus to fit below 1070 in price?
My gut feeling is they will just drop prices on the 950, 960, 970 and the 980 all being below the 1070 assuming the costs will allow them to profit at the lower prices.
Or will they just...
It is how I play so for you it is a horrible reason for myself the reason makes sense.
I do not want to relevel a new character because I screwed up on a build.
While I often look at preferred builds I generally like to mess around with builds a bit to find one I like even if it is...
Sadly this is why I will never go back to POE.
Until they allow respecs so you can play around with specs without a ton of grinding to fix mistakes the game is not playable for me.
I keep hoping at some point they will make that change.
I am sure glad I never tossed some money at them...
I would wait a few months since the new expansion is not hitting until around September anyway unless you really need one right now.
The odds are some new GPU's will be hitting in the next few months which should at the least drop prices on existing GPU's or give you a better option in a new GPU.
I always thought of VR as a niche product that I have zero interest in anyway.
So at a price that high I am not sure why anyone would buy it unless they really want VR.
