BOINC & TeAm Anandtech ... where are we?

Thanks, So far BOINC is running well on my XP Home P4 2.4 machine. Sadly SETI is down right now due to the SNAP issue but should be back tonight they say. CPDN data downloaded and immediately began processing so that is a good thing and shows the major advantage of BOINC. Once SETI returns...

BOINC & TeAm Anandtech ... where are we?

i joined the TeAm some time ago and with my little part time Pentium have racked up 830+ WU on Seti@Home for the TeAm. BOINC is very exciting because #1 it allows me to have my computing time split between two projects and #2 it likely will provide new data sets for SETI to crunch, not the same...

well using those numbers you are look at $15-20 a month. is it really that high? still ok...

Cost of a computer running 24/7?

Just curious, not that for me it matters with my one computer... To run a P4 2.4 desktop with a 19 inch CRT mointor 24/7 how much is the cost per day or month? Assume the mointor is on 30% of the time or even less. Any ideas? Thanks...

I am late to the game... and CLI/SETIDriver/SETISpy are all running great and churning 8 WUs per day or so. How long until BOINC is up (I joined the beta and am running it as a *very seldom used* client on a laptop). Clearly BOINC is the future for distrubited computing because the open design...
