hi,
1) i dont use the stock sollution i use a zalman ZM-NB47J (http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product/view.asp?idx=71&code=0214) with a 4x4fan on the side, so this should provide far better cooling than the original fan/cooler. i know the mb-temp wont show it but i can touch the zalman and its...
i guess mbm will report the same temp, but the problem is that it wont suuport your board out of the box since it is too new.
can you touch the Heatsink if it shows temp 64?
with xp-120 and a 1200rpm fan my cpu reaches 50° under load.

i got that cpu running @ 2.55 ghz stable so 240*10 should be easy.
i can boot knopix off cd no problems
memtest86 run's through without any errors too
but when it comes to hd argl ...
i use sata 3+4 first i used 1+2 but i switched and i can tell there is no difference.
i will try...
i use a xp120 with a noiseblocker sx1 12cm fan. the 1200rpms the fan offers i more than enough, but you should check if the xp120 fits.
the nice side effect of the xp-120 is the airflow on the surronding components (rams etc).
and you cannot hear anything from it =)

hi,
i use:
a64 3200+
a8n-sli
corsair 2-2-2-5-1t ram
2 * maxtor 10 sata drives
1* maxtor p-ata drive
gt6600
ok thats the mobo. Now i turn HT multi to 3 ram to ddr333, activate pci-lock and raise fsb to 240.
when i try to boot windows it kills the partition instantly. i get to see...
the a8n cannot lock the ide-channels.
its a bug asaf, and it will totaly corrupt your partition over 240 or something. also the first 2 s-ata ports (nforce) are not locked correctly ....
hi,
i tried overclocking my mobo and it workes fine. i got 240*10 with ht *3 and ddr400 rams
set to 333 running stable.
also 280*9 with ddr266 setting works. i can run prime95 infinitly.
however i think overclocking does trouble to the ide controller. becouse @ 240*10 i cannot install...
if you go passive you should definitly have a good case cooling. in your case you should use case-fans if the temp difference between open and closed is that great. but anyway i think that even 53° should be no problem.
i use a xp120 and an Noiseblocker Ultra Silent Fan SX1 (120mm) rev. 2.0. it runs at 1200 std but i reduced it to 900 (you cannot hear it anyway). but it is more than enough my cpu is 51° full load. i got 3 noiseblocker 120mm ultra silent in this mobo. 2 case 1 cpu all down to 900 and you cannot...
dunno but i wondered too if i can put some passive zalman vga cooler on my msi 6600 gt. i wanted to buy asus card too but i heard they get really loud, and i can barely hear my msi, but i only use 1 ...
