Computer won't boot from CD

The HD is the primary master, and the CD is the secondary master- I left all other drives disconnected. I'm pretty sure I have everything setup properly, so I'm stumped. I did find you can download from MS floppy bootup disks for XP (the file you download makes 6 setup disks for XP...

Dad's PC dead!

I can't remember which pins you need to connect, but you can unhook the PSU from the mobo and connect two of the pins with a paper clip- if the fan turns on, the PSU is fine. Otherwise, remove all the non-essential cards and see if it boots. If it does, add back a card at a time. Your...

Computer won't boot from CD

I'm trying to reinstall WinXP- it had issues, so I thought a clean install would be good. Anyway, even though I set the BIOS to boot from CD, it won't (I've tried with the WinXP installation disc as well as other bootable CDs). I don't even get the option "Press any key to boot from CD- it...

Ordering panoramic prints- where can you get non-standard sizes?

Using Photostitch, I combined 4 digital photos to make 1 panoramic picture that's about 16"x8" (which is about the size I would like to frame). Is there anywhere that prints non-standard/irregular photos? I only found a few places that did panaromic shots, but they didn't offer anything above...

Best live band?

Depends on the criteria: Gwar- by far the most fun I've ever had at any show Bad Religion- best sound- saw them in a tiny venue (~200 people capacity) Sick of it All- most intense Can't comment on newer bands- I'm older now and haven't been to a concert in a while.

Snape was fooling either Dumbledore or Voldemort, and I'm thinking it was Voldemort. I really don't have much evidence for this, but why else did Dumbledore freeze Harry instead of fight Draco? Surely, Dumbledore could have frozen/disarmed Draco, and then Dubledore and Harry could have fought...
