Windows 11 abandoned a bunch of old hardware, and some not so old. That should have been a clear hint to set up a new baseline on the graphics API front as well.

They should do that if technically possible. It's also in their own interest. Sure it could be an upsell, if their competition would be mostly RDNA 3. But with stopped production and dwindling stocks it will be Blackwell and DLSS instead. What they need to sell first is FSR 4 to developers. And...
I made peace with solderer memory precisely for higher speeds. But if Strix Point (and Halo) supports 8000, I want no compromises on that front at least.
