not a mac fan boy but os x is great

you know, i have to admit i loved my G3 mac, but i got so frustrated that whenever I wanted some new game or latest kind of software or shareware, i couldn't ever use it, because it was always for the PC first, and then, MAYBE for the mac, a year or more later. i converted just this past month...

WIN XP vs. WIN SE

Is it worth it to upgrade to XP?

I just got a new XP box, and have the Soyo Dragon+ also... it's been great for the most part, but I have had a couple of driver related issues that I just can't seem to resolve. Also, I had some problems with my Audigy card... the latest drivers from Creative seem to help, but I still can't get...

CD-ROM and CD-RW won't play CDs

That's a good point. Both CDs are sort of new. One of them, actually, isn't that new. Moby "Play", bought it about 15 or 16 months ago. The other CD I tried is newer, bought it at the end of this past summer. Maybe I'll try an older CD.

Creative Audigy Drivers

I have the Audigy card (gamer) and WindowsXP, and was able to just install the drivers given on Creative's website. Try it out... http://www.creative.com/support/files/download.asp

CD-ROM and CD-RW won't play CDs

I have a WindowsXP box, with two CD drives, one a 52X CDROM and the other a 10/24/40CD-RW. Neither CD player will play music CDs. I checked in the device manager to see that they had "play music" box checked, and they both did! They give me some error that they can't find the file. I've tried...

WindowsXP driver error message

I'm sure this is an old thread, but here goes: I got a new WindowsXP box. AMD1900+, Radeon8500, 512RAM, Audigy Gamer sound card, SOYO Dragon+ MB, 360W power supply, 2 x IBM 7200rpm 60GB drives, CDRW, 52XCD, zip, floppy... It works great. Except for a couple of problems with games that don't...

Viewsonic VX500... AWESOME digital LCD

Was off the net for a couple days, sorry I didn't get back to you. I got the VX500 for $510 or so at www.buy.com I am running it off my new machine: Dragon+ MB XP1900+ Radeon 8500 (using the DVI) 512 DDR RAM two IBM Desktstar 60GB (7200rpm)
