Folding@Home: 24 hour stats - February 2, 2008

Thanks for the welcome! The links you guys provided helped me a lot in setting up. I've got my C2D chip working 2 instances and my PS3 crunching too. Unfortunately my PS3 has done 4 WUs, but due to the problems with the PS3 right now, I've gotten credit on 1 of them only :(

Anyone live near OR work in El Segundo?

I'd go with what a majority of people have been saying. I'd say that the best areas to live would be south of the 10 and west of the 405. If you're renting, I'd recommend starting with these website to get a feel for what's out there and the cost. They are apartments for rent websites that...

Is there a quick way to find out if a person is lying about having been in the military?

You can register your DD214 but iirc, 1) Once registered, your DD214 becomes a public document that anyone can request a copy of and 2) It has your SSN on it So mine is also in my safe but not registered. I keep a scanned copy for safety as well.

This come from the American Heritage dictionary. If you notice, as an adjective it's fine, but as a noun, aka calling someone Oriental, can be considered offensive. IMO an easy way to remember: Asian people Oriental rugs (things) "ADJECTIVE: 1. often Oriental Of or relating to...

anyone ever get relief from allergy shots?

same here....i got them weekly when i was 10ish and they helped a lot. Of course, when I moved to a different part of the country, different types of allergens and i have allergies all over again......
