I would definitely go for a 7970M over the 670M but I'd think twice about getting it in any Clevo EM series machine. Not being able to turn off Enduro is a deal breaker IMO. I will say that the 7970M is an amazing mobile chip(especially for the price). I ran one in my NP8150 for a month with...
I'd shy away from the NP9150 / 7970M combo until they get the Enduro issues sorted out. I'm currently running a 7970M in my NP8150 with no issues since it doesn't support Enduro.
I would say Sager has the better screen options if you're only interested in 60Hz panels but... Alienware is...
I'm really interested to hear how much overclocking headroom the 4GB Clevo 680M has. I almost sold my P150HM because I was going to replace it with a P150EM / 7970M setup until I read about the Enduro issues plaguing the 7970M/150EM. I picked up a 7970M for the HM and I'm happy to report it...
I stand corrected. I'm not really sure what's going on anymore. It sounds like the pixels in a 120Hz panel will refresh at 120Hz all the time(no matter what) but without a true 120Hz input source it just up converts(if you can call it that)...or doubles each frame of the 60Hz source. I just...
Are you sure they actually use 120Hz panels...? I thought all consumer grade TVs were using frame-interpolation to achieve the effect.... on the other hand though it looks like they have to use 120Hz panels to actually make use of frame-interpolation in the first place.
Just Cause 2 is pretty fun in 3D... other than that I'd rather just run most of my games at 120Hz. I've had a few 120Hz monitors and finally stuck with the AW2310(although it took two tries to get an acceptable one). I still absolutely hate TN panels but 120Hz is something I'm not sure I could...
BC2 eventually crashes for me(while in SLI). They do seem to be quite the mess. In fact I don't think I've ever had so many issues with a beta driver from NV. Oh well, I guess that's why they're betas. 3D doesn't work for me either.
Thanks! I'll give them a shot.
Same issues with a fresh OS install and a new AX1200. It seems I am not alone though. Towards the bottom of this thread I found there are a few users describing the same issue. I guess the rendering errors look more like blips or spots(white or black)...
Got the AX1200 in today. Nice power supply...and I can't believe it's less than 8" long! It didn't fix my issue in BC2 of course. Wishful thinking I suppose. On the upside the AX1200 I received has no coil whine that I can hear. :D If others are running basically the same setup as me, and...
Thanks. It may actually be my power supply then. Hopefully the AX1200 coming in tomorrow will fix it. If not I guess it's time for a fresh install of Win7 anyway.
I'm going to try 262.99 again. Yes, MSAA and CSAA...no difference. :/ I'm sure it probably is a driver problem. The game will run for hours no problem...except the AA issue.
I picked up a pair of Asus GTX 580s a few days ago and I'm having some issues which I think I've narrowed down to drivers or possibly a psu issue(leaning towards drivers). In BC2 I get a lot of strange white/black spots popping up on the screen with anything over 1x AA on. This mainly happens...
