Who's buying Skylake-X? (You may now change your vote)

Just put up a 2558 in Cinebench with all cores at 4.8 @ 1.3v. A couple of cores cracked 90c, however :openmouth: Additional tweaking of memory subsystem could produce better results. There may be more headroom for clock speed as well.

Well, got my new 7900X build together and I'm impressed, but with some minor caveats. I swapped out my water-cooled Titan X (Maxwell) for the EVGA 1080 SC and am currently using my custom loop for the CPU only. The loop has a total of 5x120 radiators, so the heat output of the CPU is no issue...

Hue/Wifi lights and switches

Thinking about converting one or more rooms in my new home to all Hue/wifi lighting. Where there is recessed/built in lighting already in place, my understanding is that with these systems you must keep any existing wall switches in the "on" position in order for the lights to function...

New Pascal Titan X!

Nice to see this coming so soon, but as a day-one purchaser of OG Titan and Titan X, I'm passing this time around. Current Titan X under custom water is plenty fast for anything I throw at it at 3440x1440, and I'm waiting for shipment of my Step Up 1080 to replace the 980Ti in my VR machine, so...

Steam Summer Sale 2016

Overall sale is mediocre, but I'm using it to stock up on some VR titles - it seems to me that many of the VR games had rarely if ever gone on sale before the summer sale.

Just to close the loop on this, EVGA already has three 1080s available in the Step-Up Program: the Founders Edition ($699), their 'vanilla' 1080 ($609), and the ACX 3.0 ($619). Seems unlikely to me that they will be adding any of the premium versions into the mix any time soon, so I went...

Yikes, not a good look. Almost forgot to cancel my Rift order. Luckily my CC company declined the charge and I had time to cancel before they tried to charge again. So happy with the Vive and the SteamVR platform. I really can't see any reason to bother with a Rift at this point, as I suspect...

Just dropping in to say how pleasantly surprised I've been with this game. Perfect blend of modern technology and throwback game play. I love the fact that they've added some layers of customization, etc., while still keeping it simple. Runs like a dream also. Most fun I've had in a LONG time...

Do you own stock in your favorite GPU maker?

I've owned various video cards from both camps over the last 20 years. Bought in to nVidia in October 2015. Since then it's gone on a nice +73% run. :thumbsup:
