WARM: 18.1" Mitsubishi LCD at Best Buy for $499 AR

So far, I really like. Very sharp, especially using DVI. Nice brightness and contrast. No signs of streaking, but I have not played any games yet. It looks really nice with the thin frame. Anyone find a response time spec for this monitor? Chad

Are SMC's wireless router antennas removeable?

Interesting that you ask. I was on their website today(look under support) and this exact question was in the FAQ. Unfortunately, no they are not. I know the Linksys are. I'm sure it COULD be done if you don't care about warranty.:( Chad

Orinoco Gold or Silver - bought the Silver... still poor range

802.11a has much higher throughput, but shorter range. I say go with 802.11b, and save some cash. 11mbps is more than adequate for most situations. Go with the silver, and save some more cash. 128bit WEP can be hacked in about 15 minutes(takes about 500,000 packets). All WEP really does is...

Is it possible to store all e-mail on a peer-to-peer network on just one of the computers?

It's weird....I can check Client and File share, but when I click apply, I get a message saying that it will disable it. I have set up several networks on it, and always the same. IPX/SPX???????

Is my monitor dying?

Well, if turning your monitor off/on fixes it, that rules out any PC problem. Monitors that start losing the ability to maintain a screen size is a classic sympton of an impending tube failure. Chad
