trouble displaying video through TV...

I recently hooked my laptop up to my TV throught the S-video. While I can see the desktop and everything else, whenever I try to play video files nothing appears on the TV in the player window(I tried avi and mpeg). I can see the picture on the laptop but on the TV its just black. Sometimes...

Radeon 9700 + Athlon XP2700+

If I were to use an nForce2 mobo with at least 256MB PC-2700 in dualDDR 333MHz, would that be a pretty decent gaming machine?

How do you release and renew an IP address in XP? I'm looking for an alternative for "winipcfg" in Win98 where you can do that. Does such a thing exist?

I recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled everything. I have 2 partitions, C and D. C is about 3GB and D is suppose to be about 23GB but windows only says it has 3.01GB. Where did all my space go? I went to FDISK and it says D is 23GB big so why doesn't windows see it? The only...

I have started to download some sitcoms and I would like to make into VCDs so I can play them on my DVD player. Is there a program to change *.asf, *.avi, *.mov and maybe some other formats into MPEG 1 for the VCDs? thanx
