The House Wiring is fine. The Laptop Boots fine, you can hear windows, you just can't see anything on the screen anymore...

Shouldn't the system post beep after I take out the video card, I think I forgot to mention that I did that. Anyhow, the reset button not working and the how i have to repeatedly press the power on button makes me think the video card isn't the culprit. I do think I mentioned that I bought a...

Thanks again for the suggestions. I have double checked the Caps again today. I am aware and have seen the cap problem before. My brother's mobo died from that. I have eliminated the chance that it could be the video card by removing it and trying to get the pc to post. In an odd twist...

It is not the power supply. A new one did not even work. There is no gunk on the caps. Any more ideas?

Madden 2005 league for PC

Trying to set up and host an FTP from my home network

I am using Windows XP SP1 and would like to be able to set up my computer as a host for FTP to selected individuals using WS_Ipswitch Pro. I have no problems connecting to other FTP's as a client, but can't seem to Figure out how to set up as Host and then allow only certain password protected...

OCR scanning

I have a microtech scanner which doesn't seem to have OCR software, but not sure. It will allow me to scan to OCR, but I don't have a program that will open it up? I have Office XP and Adobe Creative suite. When I scan an image to OCR in my scanner, I have tried to open it using Word, but it...

Thanks, that saved me a ton of $$$ in gas!! There is a Staples half a mile from my house, and the nearest Best Buy is 28 miles. They did a price match and total after tax was $23.84.
