oh? can you share with me how? i tried to use my nvidia control panel's aspect control, but it never takes over my monitor's aspect control. i have a 8800gt oc on winxp pro with the most recent beta drivers. you are right about this. for my recent lcd purchase, what i wanted an ips panel...

well i figured out that you had to be in the actual non-native mode to change it to 1:1, but the problem is, whenever you leave that setting by going into the native resolution either by quitting the game or minimizing, it goes back to stretch. the monitor will not remember the setting, and...

i'm not sure 'dirty' is the right word to use for it, but if i could use a photo analogy, it seems like there's noise going on, on the screen when i'm doing anything but gaming. could you recommend me a few more models?

what i mean by blaring is that, when i'm on my desktop, things like white or gray backgrounds don't look clean, like they're grainy or dirty. this in turn also affects the way i see text on the backgrounds. is this a monitor issue or a video card issue? is there anything i can do about it...

i'm really having some trouble getting my 2253bw calibrated so that my eyes don't feel strained when i use it for general use, text especially. i noticed that my desktop seemed pretty different when i changed from my ati x1950pro to a 8800gt. everything just seems more...'blaring', if anyone...

Anyone pick up the Samsung 2253BW?

i think i tried the calibration software that came with the monitor, it was kinda hard to use though, and i didn't like what i ended up with, but i'll give it a try again. if you could post your settings, i'd appreciate it and give it a try

Anyone pick up the Samsung 2253BW?

i too have picked up this monitor, and am loving it. like tweakin mentioned, the buttons are on the bottom of the panel, behind a plastic shield-like attachment, so it makes calibrating a little annoying. as for the actually display, my bleed was very minimal, and uniform. as a disclaimer...

New Catalyst 8.3 hotfix

there are the 'beta' nvidia drivers, but evga even has them on their website as at latest drivers for the 8 series.
