Do people "owe" anything to mankind?

Quite a bit. :) I'd actually say that people in general care a lot more about how other people's actions affect them, than how much their actions affect other people.

What's wrong with EA?

Haven't read much about their buisness practices, have you? EA has a bad rep because they treat people badly. It's not so much about their games as it is the attempted monopoly things they do, like paying the NFL for exclusive rights - in effect killing all football titles competing with...

There's a fundamental difference between wanting your own life to be better, however, and "selfishness" as it's percieved to mean. Selfishness generally means that you ONLY care about yourself, with a "screw everyone else" attitude. That's not what I percieve that you're saying, however...

I figured that most geeks here would say that. But I've known many people lazy about them too. So I figured the analogy holds. :) I'd say that it's impossible for everyone to just be responsible for themselves, though. There would be no nations, no laws...no families even, if we were all...

On a somewhat related note: Rabbits truely DO like Trix. Have a friend who had two pet rabbits. They loved the stuff. Got all hyper if they ever saw you eating it.

**Official** Video Card Drivers Rev2

Suggestion: Add a 64-bit windows section to the driver list. All these drivers, and it's hard to dig out and know which verisons are made for the new Windows XP 64.

Swapping MB chipsets...saving OS

Since you don't mention the OS, I'll make the jump and assume you're running Windows 2000 server or later. What I'd do with 2000, is get it up and running again in the "old" configuration, long enough to BACKUP, and then run "Sysprep". You should shut it down, then install the hard drives...

Beta nVidia drivers and World of Warcraft

I've been using the 66.76 drivers for quite a while now with my 6800GT (overclocked to Ultra speed). The card has been completely stable, and I even re-flashed the BIOS of it to the overclocked speed. That being said, I can't use any never drivers than the ones I have been using. Every single...

Because they have a few very vocal PvP advocates working at Blizzard, as well as in the forums. I have never seen worse bigotry than PvP people against 'carebear' PvEs in the World of Warcraft forums.
