<strikethrough>Been just doing some reading about the differences between air-flow and static pressure fans.
My understanding (might be wrong) is that static pressure is for smaller, more confined areas and air flow is good for exhaust in a ITX case.
In this case, should I get 1 static...
Hi guys, planning to do this build:
Intel i5-6600 (3.3ghz)
AsRock Z170M-ITX/ac Skylake ATX Motherboard
HyperX FURY 16 GB DDR4 2400 MHz Memory Kit (2 x 8 GB)
nVidia 1080
Ncase M1 v5
3-4 case fans
Would a 600W PSU be enough? Also would it fit inside my Ncase M1 v5?
I'm thinking of getting the...
I'm planning to get a ITX build with the Ncase M1 v5 with the Intel i5-6600 and the Nvidia 1080.
Which ITX Skylake motherboard should I go with? Ideally I'd have built-in Bluetooth in the board as well. I'm planning to pair it with the Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Single DDR4 2400 as well...
Thanks.
Where should I mount the fans inside the M1? Should I have 2 on the bottom and then one on the side facing the CPU?
Would 2 on the side and 2 on the bottom be a good option?
Thanks. I'll have a look at those.
Tangential question: The Ncase website says "Rear exhaust cards recommended, especially for cards with TDP greater than 150W. Look up your card's TDP (external link)." (https://www.ncases.com/).
I've noticed that the Reference Edition of the Nvidia 1080...
Looking to build a Nvidia 1080 build, what kind of case fans should I get if my case is the Ncase M1 v5?
Had a look at the Be Quiet! fans and they look pretty good, but there's been some reviews saying that it's poor and that I should go with Noctua.
I heard MSE/Microsoft Defender is no longer going to be supported, so I'm in the market for an anti-virus solution now.
What's recommended?
Thinking about getting Kaspersky or ESET, but I'm flexible.
What's the point of having a server rack in an ordinary home? I remember seeing pictures of people's workspaces on the Internet with server racks in their homes.
My main rationale is that I want to do 1080p gaming for 2-3 year old games (+Dota 2, CS:GO). Have to stick with my current laptop at the moment, while waiting for Skylake to finally release (MBP).
The Alienware Alpha seems very price competitive, in light of its size (Size is the main...
Disclosure: I understand that the Alienware Alpha may not be the best of deals (I've built my own Gaming PC before), but I value the portability of the Alienware Alpha. Thanks.
There are three current models for the Alienware Alpha: an i3, i5 and i7 version. The graphics card is unchanged...
I have a gaming PC that I leave when I'm not in the country (half a year1 year). I recently upgraded to a SSD (love it).
What kind of software should I use to check the data integrity of the SSD?
