lost inet connection

i tried it now with the switch only, worked fine, then i swapped the nic in the linux to an identical one, d-link dfe-530tx, and now everything works.. it was the bloody networkcard :(

lost inet connection

my linuxbox staysonline coz i got ppl connected to it from the outside.. however i tried to connect my winbox directly and it worked.. so it must either be my swithc, linux nic, or linux software for that nic that is screwed up.. thnx for thetip

lost inet connection

from time to time i loose my connection to the network without any apparent reasoin.. i go through another linuxbox wich is online without interuption but my winbox gets disconnected from the ned for about 20 seconds now and then, mostly when i play gfxintensive games.. anyone got a clue what...

loose inet connection

When i play games.. after a while i loose my internetconnection.. where should i start looking to solve this problem? memtest? temps? any other ideas? anyone else have the same problem? i have a gigabyte 8knxp with 28ghz pentium 4. geforecefx 5600

gigabyte 8knxp loose inet

8knxp disconnected when hot?

I have a gigabyte 8knxp motherboard (integrated nic) with an msi geforce fx 5600 gfxcard. When i play gfxintensive games and the gfxcard gets too hot i get disconnected from the network for about 30-60 secs until it cools down then i am reconnected.. Anyone else have this problem ? How can I...

i have 2 sticks of 512mb twinmos original pc3700 for my 8KNXP.. if i set memfreq to 2.0(460mhz) i get lots of errors in prime95.. the fastest stable settings with the F6 bios is 2.5-3-2-7.. is there some way i vcan better these figures? also, if i choose top performance, the comp wont boot.

i didnt get any checksum errors or anything like that.. no beeping anyway :P, no errorindication whatsoever.. F5 just didnt go away... but i could flash to F6 in DOS mode though.. to bad i still cant set cas lower than 2.5 :/

crt vs flatscreens

i have a 19" crt.. im thinking of buying a crt 21-24" or perhaps a flatscreen of some sort.. i dont know much about the flat standards.. LCD, TFT whatever.. i just wanna know if its ok nowadays to play fps games like battlefield 1942, (doom 3, halflife 2 later) on them without any problems like...
