Thanks, i finally figured out how to change the boot priority of his laptop to boot from the disk. Thanks for the help.

Trying to help friend fix his laptop

A friend of mine is having problems with his laptop. Somehow a windows system32 file is missing so windows won't load. I put a windows disc in and tried restarting the computer, but it always goes back to the screen where it asks you to either start windows normally or boot from the last know...

Trying to OC my AMD

I don't have the option of changing my FSB like everyone else, it just tells me to change my chip frequency and it has a range from 200 to ? and it goes in increments of 2's. I have gigabyte board and in the book it shows being able to change the fsb, but on the menu its not there. Anyone know...

Anyone using a power conditioner?

They only way you would really benefit from having a power conditioner is if your system is top of the line with lots of power and clarity. But for most people it is just a waste of money. I learned that from the monster rep when he came to my store. Glad that that wasn't a waste of time...

I am looking for LCD TV recomendations.

Sony Bravia XBR2 is supposed to be the best lcd on the market. So I have heard from home theater magazines.

Problems with range expander

Great thanks, I will give that a shot. But if it doesn't work for me, spread the word that I am selling this item for fairly cheap. $30 shipped.

Problems with range expander

I have all linksys wireless gear, so I figured it would all work easily with each other. When I try to hook up the range expander, it doesn't join my already setup network, but creates its own. I do not get why, all I want is for the stupid range expander to interact with the rest of my stuff...

Need help with burning a DVD with music videos on it.

I have a dvd player in my car and really want to burn music videos to dvd to play them in my car. What is the best way to do this? Any help would be greatful.

Getting ready to go to school for network security.

I am going to Ok State University in the spring for network security (i think). What should i already know before hitting campus and diving in with people that I would bet have been doing this for a while? Or is there another field along the lines of information security that would be a better...

Friends starting a t-shirt company

FSB ?

I want to oc my amd 64 x2 4200+, but on the mobo there is no option to change the fsb(i know that amd has them built in), so what do you change in its place?

Is watercooling worth it?

I was wondering if adding water-cooling to my system would help out with temps and future mods or if fans would be the better way to go. Thanks for any help and bumps are always welcome.

Does 132DVDXCopy really work

I just wondered if the 132DVDxcopy worked on copyrighted dvd's since its the same company that did the 321 DVDXCopy. I am finding that all the new dvd's aren't able to be burned. Any help would be appreciated or suggestions on other programs that work would be great also.
