AMD or Intel for DUAL CORE technology?

I primarily play computer games, BF2, FEAR, AoE3, NWN, etc etc. No benefit from extra cache?

AMD or Intel for DUAL CORE technology?

Question, I am thinking of picking up an X2, but I was wondering was the 4400+ worth the $100 over then 4200+ just because of the 1Mb x2 lv2 Cache vs the 512Kb x2 lv2 cache?

booting dos without floppy!

www.bootdisk.com has instructionson maknig a w98 boot CD, that will let you access MS DOS Prompt, if you aren't running NTFS, there are also boot CDs for XP/2k and others.

Will xp pro run on a pentium 2?

I ran it on a PII 300 Mhz, 64 Mb ram.. I went for a coffee break when booting the machine.

Radeon 9500/9700 Qs

Is a Geforce3 still viable for today's games?

your penchant :P I had XP 1800+ w/ GeForce 3 Ti200 overclocked to Ti500 speeds, running those games fine.. highest detail on C&C Generals and UT2003. and Unreal 2 had medium shadow levels

I had to flash the bios on mine to do it.. Warranty Void apparently when you do it.

Fast processors kinna suck......

I have an AMD K6-2 400 Mhz and a AMD Athlon 2400+ in my room on 24/7... this combination works great in the winter :)

Installed DX9.0a and updated 9500 Pro's bios with Warp11's

I just updated with that bios. I fixed the line problem at POST. It seemed after a few reboots it went away (same with the wrong bios). But uninstalled the drivers and computer still thinks I have a 9700 Pro. That shouldn't cause a problem should it? My computer seems to run games and...

I fixed the problem with 3DMark, I just reinstalled it. I checked my memory is it is Infineon memory at 3.3 I'll try one of those.
