Opinion on new build

Since you are not interested in overclocking E6850 is a better choice for you, 3.0Ghz dual core will dominate 2.4Ghz quad in all current games. There's no need for any additional CPU cooling with no overclocking, stock fan will work just fine at stock frequencies. If you still want something...

Very good build. There's absolutely no reason NOT to go with quad, the majority of upcoming games like Crysis, UT3, Alan wake and other will be able to utilize 4 cores fully . The extra MHZ you can get easily with OC, extra 2 cores you can't. PSU is more than enough. I wouldn't change a thing...

Whichever motherboard comes with such systems usually has a) very poor overclocking features b) none whatsoever. Your best bet is Abit IP35-E, a nice board in all aspects, great overclocking features, nice price. Only $69.95 after $20 rebate...

Time to upgrade, suggestions? Here is what I am thinking..

Q6600 is a great buy considering you are willing to overclock it a little, even with cheap $22 cooling like Freezer 7 Pro you will be able to achieve 3.0Ghz fairly easily. Q6600 will benefit in virtually ever game which will be released later this year (Crysis, UT3), they all utilize 4 cores...

Buying a new computer -- Help needed!

Corsair 520HX would be fine even if you had a GTX in there :) I agree with the person above me, get Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R instead for $150CAD, put the money saved into the video and get 640MB version of 8800 GTS.

:) If I was you I'd go with the original setup, and wait till november or so when the new 9 series midrange cards hit the market. They will be much more suitable for the DX10 games if you decide to play them. E6750+X1950XT I say.
