bizarre shared folder issue

I added Netbeui, but it didn't acomplish anything. I thought maybe it was a fragmented file issue, so I ran defrag, but it still is doing this. How is it possible to have the folder shared, but only have some of the files in the folder accessable and others not? I'm near the point of ripping...

I have 2 machines, one with 2 nic's and ICS, the server has XP pro and the second is xp home. The server has the mp3 folder shared (it's a large folder obviously) and I can browse the folder from the second no problem. The problem is when I try to copy or play SOME of the songs, they don't...

Whats a good CD to MP3 Program?

I use EAC - Exact Audio Extractor which requires (I think) an external mp3 encoder. Lame works great for that. I'm not gonna find the links. Google'em.

internet explorer settings keep getting messed

spontaneous reboot in xp issues

I just built a very basic system - tbird 1.33, 256 ddr, 40 gig HD, LG Burner on a SIS based motherboard (cheap). It has a 300 watt power supply. I installed XP Pro and everything works fine at my place. At my buddy's place, if he restarts, it goes through the boot process up to loading the OS...

multiple IP's in XP on single nic

Is there any way to assign multiple IP addresses to a single NIC in XP? I've done it in 98 and 2k before, but XP doesn't seem to do it. :disgust:

I don't know why this doesn't work. In 2k, you could give a single nic a second ip address no problem. Try it in xp. it seems to take fine, but ipconfig only shows 1, and I can't ping anything connected to that network. I have 2 computers connected through a hub and a dsl modem to the link...

multiple IPs in XP pro

How do I use multiple IP's in XP pro? I noticed the tab in network - alternate configuration, and added 10.0.0.1, but it doesn't show up in ipconfig, and I can't ping 10.0.0.2 through a hub. I dual-boot with 98, and 98 can see the other computer. weird?

dif between P3-800e and P3-800eb

What would the difference in benchmarks look like between a p3-800e and a p3-800eb with identical system configs and 133 ram running at 133? If I'm not mistaken, 800Mhz is 800Mhz and the only difference between the chips is the FSB speed of 100 to 133. PCI and AGP speeds will be the same...
