No, it is not necessary at all. If they are very minute particles and you did use iso alcohol then you are ok. I have the same issue, no problems. Chances are those particles will never be able to drip anywhere as to be a danger, since they are just traces.. If your really worried take a Q-tip...

Why cant I get any of my 'Burning" software to work with XP?

I also have win xp and tried both of the mentioned products. Neither works properly for me either. Both disabled my regular CDROM drive for some reason. I followed the exact upgrade instructions for ECDC 5.0 platinum along with the win xp migration. Also emailed Roxio tech support, tried a few...

Defective motherboard to new motherboard ?

I have RMAed my motherboard because it has a defective LAN card in it. I now have the exact same MB to replace it. Questions: Will I need to activate win xp again ? Not changing any other hardware setup at all, just swapping out. Will my OS, drives, ect. be ok w/o having to reinstall anything...

Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0 & XP problems

SOYO Dragon + and Power-up problem

The Dragon + startup is a bit different from the norm. One loud beep, followed by two short beeps then video is NORMAL for this board. I checked this with John Howland who is a Soyo guru of sorts. If you hear anything else there could be a problem. If you hear NO beeps but fans are moving it...

What's the deal with nwe Dragon BIOS - EVALUATION ROM - NOT FOR SALE??

Just saw John Howland from Specialytech who is a Soyo tech/guru asked the same question in a newsgroup. He stated that this is not a beta but a full BIOS release and official.

At this point I'd say Dragon +. They released the board 2 weeks ago, some instability was found, and they already have a new BIOS that fixes it. My understanding is that some other KT266a boards released some weeks ago have the same issues and there not fixed. I's say Soyo has done there...
