Very true. It's more by comparison -- I didn't feel that London was super dirty, it's more that my first overseas trip was to Singapore, which left me feeling the US was kind of a shithole, and then London made me realize that I may have been visiting an outlier the first time.

Why aren't we exploring Venus?

Actually, no, it would be virtually impossible to start a fire to cook dinner on Venus -- there's no oxygen in the atmosphere. Of course, by the time you give up, dinner's done anyway...and so are you.

OMG why did they end firefly?

I watched about half of season 1 of SG:U, before I bailed. I had the same realization as you: I decided that I wanted everyone except the fat kid to die horribly and that I didn't like watching the show for that reason. I hear it got better later on, but I was checked out at that point. And...
