I ordered an Asrock (B550M Pro4) in advance also. It arrived with documentation that predated the 5000 series. It referred to the upcoming 4000 series. I was a little worried also. :P When I *finally* got a 5800X, it worked fine. Well, fine enough to boot, run, and update the BIOS, anyway.

I would argue that both are right. From bottom front to top back should normally be the main flow. In my situation, with the computer inside a desk cubby, it's even more important. :p edit: I'm not how sure your title matches your question though.

Antonline.com has the 5800x in stock at $480 if you're in the US. The extra $30 probably buys you a 3-month Xbox Online PC sub. At least that's what I got about a week ago. Edit: they sold out sometime last night after being available for well over 24 hours after this post.

LOL! I was a little nervous myself about that, but my manual claimed that it supported the "4000" series so I went with it -- and it worked. I still wound up stealing parts from two different machines though, so I am up one 5800x and down one 3600x and one 2700x. :P /lucky
