I'm having some issues with OCZ 2x512 sticks. I can get the system to boot with one stick in B1, It won't post (long beeps) in A1, it won't Dual channel (A1, B1 or A2, B2) but it will run in B1 and B2. Is this a mobo issue with my double sided ram, or is this a faulty memory channel? how much...

Let me set it up for you: I built a system for a friend (not a mistake i'll make again) and i built it on a budget (also not a mistake i'll make again). The system ran well for about a couple hours, and then died. We systematically replaced every part (new ram, new motherboard, and new cpu) and...

Whoops. :) missed that one. So, two sticks of Crucial 3200 it is. And the BIOS will dual-channel it automatically? oh, whatever, i'm sure i'll figure it out while i'm building. thanks all

and is two sticks of 3200 better than one stick? is there any advantage to having 256+256, rather than just 512?

wait, what is 333mhz? the 2700 ram? The motherboard says it can support anywhere from 2100 to 3500 ram, so why would i have to underclock anything for 2700 ram?

I'm building an ABIT IS-7/P4 2.8C system, and i'm trying to muddle through all the ram options. I'm looking at a single stick of DDR2700 ram right now, because it's a hell of a lot cheaper than DDR3200, and i can't imagine that there will be *that* much difference. Is that the case? I've been...

Hi all. I'm pricin a P4C 2.8, ASUS P4P800, PC2700 Ram, etc. I have an externally powered USB hub, and i don't have an excess of power hungry hardware. This one caught my eye at newegg. What do you think? I like the quite aspect, as i'm trying to keep noised down...

i was just confused...it seemed that $60 was a big jump for SATA RAID and Gigabit ethernet...they both have USB2.0 and Firewire... Either way, it's a good deal.

Here's my question: I'm looking at IS7s on newegg, and i'm seeing the IS7 at $109, with firewire, raid, and the 865PE chipset. Then i'm seeing the IS7-G for $168, and not much in the way of extra features...I'm seeing Gigabit ethernet and support for 4 raid devices. is that the only difference...
