I currently have a MSI-K8N Platinum motherboard with PCI - Express running a 7800Gt, i'm looking to upgrade the graphics. if i get an 8800GT will it work with that board even though it runs on a newer PCI-E version(2) ?
well im lucky ive had no problems yet.
overclockings been really easy, got my 3700+ to 2.6Ghz pretty easily. with my ocz platinum rev 2 i was able to use really high fsb's without sacrificing too much on the timings. running at 290x9 at 2.5-3-4-6.
turn off aggressive timings in the bios...
i got an enermax 535w sli certified psu.
and i passed on the P180 and got a lian-li v1000. oh man, it is a beauty. i love it, so light, so smooth so ..cool. :)
yea see i have a Thermaltake PurePower Butterfly 480watt right now. i want some that thats more than 500watts cuz gtx's will most likely find their way in there. and i dont want to lose an arm and a leg for it. idk 130+ is just too much for a PSU in my mind. so idk i might get a sintek one for...
im wondering which psu would be the best fit for the antec p180. im building an sli capable system for easy upgrades. so i was looking at the season or sunbeam ones. maybe even the OCZ mod stream. any help on which would look/git the best would be great! thanks.
i want to know if the bios update is necessary for 7 series cards to be recognized? because im building a new system with a 7800 and an msi mobo, and i dont want to have to buy a cheap-o pci-e card just to update bios to get my 7 series to work. thanks.
