is setting up family sharing needed if we all use the same apple ID

I setup family sharing for my wife and it worked well at first. One day it stopped working and when I tried to fix the issue it said that I couldn't make changes for 90 days. It still didn't work so were back to sharing my Apple ID for everything but iCloud.

They have versions for Windows and Android. I have used this on Mac, Win and iOS and they are great. I have not used the Android version so don't know much about that.

Time Machine Question

Yes, you can do a complete restore from time machine. I did this once and it is slow as molasses. You will need to boot from your OSX DVD, there should be an option in the utilities menu.

How secure is emachines system restore?

System keeps failing under Prime 95 in Blend test at stock settings

Try setting your command rate to 2N or comparable. Do these have an uncore voltage setting? Maybe look at that if equipped.
