After all the confusion, it looks like this was a pretty standard registry corruption issue only. I am still not sure if the cause was my meddling or the System Doctor app that I uninstalled but the fix was simply to overwrite with a previous copy of the registry and then once the system booted...

Penryn up and running!

With all this development @Intel regarding the CPU, when are we going to get a decent bus architecture? Are we going to see a highspeed serial bus with Penryn? The CPU is looking great but the platform needs to be able to feed this monster.

Anyone else having problems with nforce 6.86 drivers?

John Thanks! You were right on the money as I ended up unistalling all drivers and then reinstalling them in order to correct the issue...or at least correct most of the issues. Only the "Other PCI Bridge Device" will not install. When I try to run the upgrade driver option I am prompted...
