I know this is not the error you are encountering but you may want to update your BIOS, just in case, and also update Quicktime or itunes if you have either of those. They talk about it on the FAQ. If they have some issues with BIOSs or other software, it could affect other things they do not...

Any news on XBox 360 mods?

Nothing of real use so far. The only thing they can do is play burned copies of games. That is with a firmware mod to the DVD drive that ric1287 spoke of. Xbox 360 Linux Project: http://wiki.free60.org/

umm, what the hell is this?

To be honest, there are so many way for this to happen that I doubt anyone could tell you definitively what was the root cause of someone getting into your account. 1) Both WEP and WPA are fairly easy to break. So if you are going to do any online transactions that use your credit card...

AMD Dual Core Optimizer

Is Windows Media Center 2005 essentially XP Pro with some add ons?

IIS can be installed on MCE 2005 and runs smooth as IIS possibly can, which is debatable (in terms of smoothness).

Abit NF7-S only reading a Maxtor 300 gig as 137.

It could also be that you only have a 28-bit ata-controller on your motherboard, instead of the modern ones which are 48-bit. These older controllers can only see 127GB max. If you cannot see more then 127GB after installing SP2, as Noema said, then you will have to buy a PCI ATA-Controller...

Old BIOS won't recognize more than 8 gig of HDD?

If you updated your BIOS to the most current one, and you are still unable to see more then 8GB on a drive then you are SOL. Without buying a PCI ATA-Controller, like redbeard1 had said, there isn't a way to see large drives on that system. You might be stuck using a CHS...

Removing windows updates

Just making sure, though I'd guess you did this - Did you make sure that Show updates checkbox was marked at the top of you Add or Remove Programs windows? Although I have no idea why it wouldn't show up in there, even if you installed it via another route, I just thought I would make sure.
