Barton 2500+ /w Asus A78NX Deluxe 1.04

It just happened with my 1.04 mobo today, just after changing first boot selection, save and exit then it refused to boot. Luckily my flatmate has MSI K7N2 so it's easy to hot-swap and flash it back again.

XP1800+ downgraded from a 2600+...

I tried my XP1800+ DLT3C 0309TPMW then it said the cpu was downgraded from 2800+ , my 1800+ runs at 2.25GHz at 1.6v, is it such coinsidence?

what memory do you use?

I use 512MB TwinMOS PC3200 CL2.5 RAM on my A7N8X. TwinMOS use Winbond modules and you can get them at memoryx.com

I have the Gigabyte KT400. Would I see a noticeable improvement by going to a Nforce 2 board?

If you only upgrade your motherboard to nForce2, the answer is no, nForce2 is faster but I don't think you can notice improvement in real world/day to day except higher points in benchmark applications. nForce2 is a good platform though, you'll get good onboard network, sound and most nForce2...

Ti200 VS 8500(Non le, built by ATi)

I had problem with NFSHP2 but if I left the video setting to default except brightness NFSHP2 will run flawlessly. If I add the world and quality setting to near max or max then I got the problem again.

Trouble finding heatsink-fan for XP2200

I suggest a cheaper Thermalright AX-7 that performs similar to SLK-800 when using lower cfm/speed 80mm fan. Edit: mixed up between Thermalright and Thermaltake.

Go for R9000, it has newer features than GF4MX which doesn't have them.

Which mobo's have 1/5 Divider?

All KT400 based and almost all KT333 (MSI KT3, Epox 8K3A, A7V333, Soyo, Chaintech but not sure about Gigabyte) have it.
