Have you bought your new video card yet? I just bought my second Radeon 8500LE (built by ATI). My first one died after having done some stupid things to it, trying to get it to work at higher clock rates. The 1st was clocked at 250/250, and was an OEM model with TV out & DV output. The...
this is a built by ATI, albeit the OEM model. I must precise that the screens are corrupt on POST/startup, until windows is loaded. I don't think drivers are an issue during the POST process, as I believe it to be low level video output from the video card.
Posted this in the video forum, but it hasn't attarcted any attention. I've got corrupt screens when booting up, but when I get into windows everything is fine. When I say corrupt, I mean corrupt!!!! I get flashing blocks and letters. I can't make anything out. Then again, windows display...

When I installed IE 6 I removed it from my system using the ''Add/remove programs '' utility in windows control panel. Amazingly, Microsoft will allow you to do this.
I've had that happen to me before when I was using a Logitech cordless mouse on my old P200MMX machine. Got tired of the problem so I canned the mouse and bought a Microsoft Intellimouse. Best mouse I've ever had. It's also happened to me especially at work (I work in an aircraft maintenance...
Well I did as you suggested. I ran the stability test for just under 5 hours, on the ''CPU warming test'', and my cpu temp topped up at 38.5 Celsius. I've got my Celeron 600 o'clocked @ 1008 Mhz (112 * 9) @ 1.85 volts. Is this test utility indicative of full cpu load?
Update : After talking to Intel reps, it seems that they have indeed delivered SL4PB OEM Spec processors as retail boxed ones too. Waiting for confirmation on that from Intel engineering reps.
