Hisense is stereo and does have S-video, and the picture is also very, very good. However, I'm still kicking myself for not being patient and getting this deal instead, since having an additional dvd for $40 more (and perhaps hackable) would be so much more of a deal.
These guys are decent. Their description may indeed not be accurate from time to time, but I've ordered from them in the past and usually was satisfied. One time I wasn't they sent me a prepaid return label - no question asked.
Just did the region hack from VCD HELP. Region 3 discs now play like a charm, Region 2 discs do NOT play at all. I don't have discs from other regions to check. The only logical explanation that comes to mind is that since these players are not designed to play VCDs, they might not have PAL-NTSC...
With all the websites and forums around here there are still some books on the subject. The one I liked the most, was "Don't get taken every time" written by Remar Satton who is a cofounder (with Ralph Nader) of the Consumer Task Force for Automotive Issues. Granted, I didn't know much about...
4200 is a very nice unit but it does NOT (and neither does 4250) play vcds or svcds at all - info on Return Buy site is misleading. 4000 does play vcds and svcds but goes for a little more. They did offer me full refund, but I'm still gonna keep my 4200, though that misleading info on their site...

HSN has this camera for $79.80 with free shipping: Link. There is a $25 out of $35 coupon that can be found, and unlike previous HSN coupons it seems to be working with sales items. I didn't find any reviews on this one, but there are reviews on its predecessor a 640X480 one that can be found...
Funny, I tried walk past the line with the prepaid postage in my PO and got turned down by a clerk who said I still had to stay in line. Not to mention all the looks I received from the folks there... I wonder how you, guys, get away with that. Secret handshake, or something?:)
Iamme wrote: If the PM w/ Staples doesn't work, you can PM it with OfficeMax. They give you 110% of the difference. Just buy if from OM and fill out their online PM request. I did it with this camera to Buydig.com and it went through fine.
Not likely to work for this camera. Here is the qoute...
From what I understand the only limitation is that you will not be able to connect directly to an NTSC TV which is a standard format for North America. Pal is Europian format.
