Yup, most of the reviews on that site are negative. I love the place I live at right now compared to other apartments I've lived in and even this place gets bad reviews. Mostly people only go there to complain, so take the reviews with a grain of salt.
I've had the same problems with Craigslist. Lots of flaky buyers. I mean come on craiglists, how hard would it be to implement a feedback system. Maybe craigslisters should start using heatware. :)
Mike, I moved your GottaDeal site up the list. After your post I browse around it some more and I gotta say, I like it. It's a very good site. I like the black friday section a lot, thanks for the link Rossman.
I also posted another article on the "newer" web2.0ish deal sites. Again...
Gottadeal, is an honorable mention. I knew people would have different opinions, thats why I added the poll. Also, you can add any other deal sites to the poll if Im missing any :)
Amarok is an awesome mp3 player. I have all three OSs at home: winxp, linux and macosx. I prefer it way over itunes and windows media player. That's my 2 cents.
Also, there is picasa for linux now.
I remember the hey day, everyone starting going over to Tim's fatwallet because Anandtech wouldn't allow posting of coupon codes.
Fatwallet didn't care: http://www.law.berkeley.edu/news/pr/2002/fatwalletdec2.html
I have heard good things about dreamhost. If you have a slightly higher budget and know your way around linux well, you can spring for a VPS server. A cheap vps server can run as low as $20/month.
I wrote an article of the top ten hot deals sites.
Anandtech is at number four.
